Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc with 1 Year of Experience

Areas of Educational Qualification: Environmental Sciences/Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, Climate Sciences, Data Science, Engineering with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning or a closely related field.

Required skills: Matlab/Python or relevant programming languages, ArcGIS/QGIS or relevant software. Experience handling large datasets. Knowledge of meteorology.

Salary: INR 21600-1800-54000 per month consolidated (Salary shall be commensurate with experience & skills)

Nature of position: Temporary / Contractual

Duration of appointment: 1 Year or till the end of the project (whichever is earlier), renewed annually based on performance

Nature of Work: Managing data quality and coordinating devices across a sensor-based ambient air quality monitoring network. It includes continuous monitoring and validation of raw data received every 5 minutes from field-deployed sensors, identifying and removing anomalies through statistical checks and quality assurance techniques, and coordinating with device partners to address issues related to sensor malfunction, calibration, and data correction. The role also entails providing both online and onsite troubleshooting support while closely following up with Device and Field Support Engineers to ensure timely resolution of errors. Additionally, it requires ensuring proper reinstallation and functional verification of devices after repairs or replacements, and preparing quality-controlled, time-stamped Level-1 datasets with accurate geo-coordinates for subsequent analysis and processing. Any other tasks as assigned by the reporting officer.
