Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project:
Ice Nucleating Particle and Cloud Condensation Nuclei Properties in the North-Western Himalayas (Ice-Crunch)
Position: Junior Research Fellow (01)
Salary: ₹37,000/- per month
Minimum Qualifications (any one):
- M.Tech/M.E. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering, or allied branches with GATE/NET qualification
- B.Tech./B.E. in Environmental Engineering or relevant discipline with valid GATE score
- M.Sc. in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, or Chemistry or relevant subjects with NET/GATE.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
- Knowledge of air quality monitoring, climate change studies, or sustainability-related projects
- Experience in handling scientific equipments, field data collection, and data Analysis
Nature of Work:
The selected candidate will engage in experimental and numerical investigations focusing on cloud condensation nuclei, ice nucleating particles, and their implications to climate change and sustainability. The work will involve laboratory experiments, field campaigns in the north-western Himalayan region, data analysis, and the use of modeling tools etc.
