Advertisement for one Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position

Applications are invited for the post of Project Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the project titled Mumbai Air Network for Advanced Sciences (MANAS)

Number of Positions: ONE (01)

Salary: Rs.37,000/- p.m. (Note: This position does not include HRA)

Location of posting: Mumbai (the selected candidate will report at Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation)

Duration of Appointment: 1-year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.

Medical benefits, leave and other entitlements: As per IIT Kanpur norms

Essential:

  • Should have qualified (as on date of application) any one National Eligibility Test like GATE or CSIR-UGC NET and should fulfil the educational criteria mentioned below.
  • M.Tech/M.E. OR B.Tech/B.E. OR M.Sc in either of the subjects (Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science & Engineering, Climate Studies, Urban Studies, Sustainability Science or allied fields)

Key skills:

  • Knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment and urban sustainability challenges.
  • Deep understanding of complex, interconnected issues, the frameworks, knowledge and the multi disciplinary perspectives to determine better ways to govern, plan and design the cities of tomorrow.
  • Familiarity about working of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board is an asset, though not mandatory.
