Applications are invited for the post of Project Technician (one) in a DRDO Industry-Academia Centre of Excellence at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.

Position: Project Technician (ONE)

Minimum Qualification:  B.Sc + 4 years of relevant experience Or 3 years Engg. Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience Or High School+ ITI+ 9 years of relevant experience in a Govt. organization or in educational institute or in organization of repute.

Term of Appointment: 01 Year + Provision of 2 extension or end of the Project whichever is earlier.

Work Experience:

Should have working experience in handling material-processing related equipment in laboratory/ research environment. Must have operated various equipment, such as furnace, compression/cutting machines, and should be well versed with sample preparation, polishing, etc. Should have working knowledge of maintenance and repair of the lab equipment. Working knowledge of word file, excel sheet and presentation is preferred.

Person should be aware of Lab safety norms and maintaining equipment usage records.

Desirable: Exposure to materials science and engineering related equipment will be preferred.

Salary Range: Rs. 18000 - 1500 – 45000 + HRA (as per rule)

Note: No TA will be provided to candidates called for interview.
