Description: A research position (project associate) is open for a project on experiments to determine acoustic properties of various sound absorbing structural elements such as acoustic liners and resonators. The research fellow will be expected to design experiments, perform experiments, analyze obtained data, and perform numerical simulations (COMSOL/Matlab). Relevant skills and experience are expected from applicants.

Essential qualifications: M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering/Applied Mechanics/Physics

Desired qualifications/skills: As per requirements (see description); candidates must be interested in experiments; exposure to fundamentals/applications in acoustics.

Term of appointment: 4 months with possible extension; starting as early as Feb 2026.

Salary: INR 31000 pm (consolidated).
