Position: Project Engineer

Applications are invited for a temporary and contractual post of Project Engineer under the project entitled: “Bharatiya Jnana Sarita (BJS): Indian Knowledge Systems Wiki Project Scheme” funded by the Ministry of Education at IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• M.Tech, Or B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics.
• At least 3+ years of experience in data center or IT infrastructure operations within academic, research or other relevant environments.

Salary Range: 31600-2600-78400 (based on qualification and experience)

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Strong hands-on knowledge of servers, networking, virtualization, storage, backup, and security systems.
• Experience with data privacy, and uptime management.
• Ability to manage operations, vendor coordination, capacity planning, and incident response.

Relevant certifications preferred:

• Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP),
• Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS),
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware, AWS/Azure.

Term of Appointment: The appointment is purely temporary and contractual for a duration of 1 year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
