Post Senior Research Analyst
No. of Positions: 05 (Five)
Salary Range: Rs. 38,800-3200-96,400/-
Location: IIT-Kanpur Campus
Term of Appointment One year. The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis.
Role Description
This is one of the research roles at the Just Transition Research Centre, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kanpur. The role involves writing project reports. It also requires collaboration with other verticals to advance the goals of the Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data analysis and synthesis.
- Assisting the field research team with data collection activities.
- Writing project reports, papers, and presentations, including for community outreach purposes.
- Handling quantitative and qualitative data.
- Other tasks assigned by the reporting authority.

Selection Criteria
|

Education
|
- Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline.
- Expertise in handling climate and energy policy/economics or related data modelling.
|
|
Experience
|
- 4 years relevant experience
|
|
Skills and Competencies
|
- Experience of primary and secondary data collection and analysis.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and proficiency in using technology and data analytics tools in research i.e., KOBO; ArcGIS / QGIS; Python; SPSS; Zotero or other relevant software.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
