Position: Sr. Project Associate, Department of Earth Sciences, IIT Kanpur.

Work: Develop own FEM, and work with LSDYNA to simulate hypervelocity impact and shock wave traverse in porous and layered targets.

Project title: An experimental and simulation approach to quantify shock attenuation due to pores and layer boundaries of casings.

We are looking for dynamic and motivated candidates with experience in hypervelocity impact and shock simulation.

Essential qualifications:

1. Master in sciences or engineering.
2. Prior experience with LS Dyna Or Plate impact experiments.

Term of Appointment: Until the end of project in March 2028.

Salary:

Salary range: 36,400 + 20% HRA
