Applications are invited for the following position in the project entitled, “Grid Readiness for EV: Enablers and Technological developments (GREET)”, funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.
Postdoctoral Fellow (2 positions)
Salary: Rs 80,000 per month + HRA (ANRF norms)
Minimum Academic Qualification:
PhD in Power electronics with at least one research paper published as the lead author in a peer-reviewed SCI journal.
Job summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and qualified Post-Doctoral Fellows to join our research team. The successful candidates will contribute to modeling, analysis, and control of modern power systems, with emphasis on EV-charging infrastructure, renewable energy integration, inverter-based resources, power system stability, protection, and smart grid technologies.
The fellows will be expected to independently conduct high-quality research, develop simulation models, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to collaborative projects with academic, industrial, and governmental stakeholders. The role also involves mentoring graduate students and assisting in the preparation of grant proposals and technical reports. These positions offer a stimulating research environment and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge challenges in the transition to sustainable and resilient electric energy systems.
Desirable Skills (in one or more of the following areas):
- Proficiency in power electronics
- Familiarity with wireless power transfer technology (Initial training will be provided)
- Proficiency in DSP/FPGA programming and PCB Design.
- Proficiency with power converter design and control, Microcontroller programming
- Hands-on expertise in MLI-based EV charger simulation (PLECS/PSIM/MATLAB-Simulink) combined with bidirectional AC-DC and DC-DC converter design,
- Hardware proficiency in TI C2000 microcontroller programming and gate driver design for SiC MOSFETs,
- PCB layout for high-frequency SiC switching, and experience in prototyping and testing power converters.
