Applications are invited for the post of “Project Associate-I” in the project entitled “Automated System for Cybersecurity Policies, Assessments, Audits, Ranking and Incident Response (IR)”.

Number of positions: One (1)

Duration: 1 year (purely temporary, project-based)

Salary: Rs 25,000 + HRA (as per MeitY norms)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Masters in Computer Applications, Electrical or a related discipline, from a recognized university

Role Objective

The Project Associate-I will support the design, development and testing of an AI-driven, compliance-aware cybersecurity platform, working under the guidance of the Project Scientist and the Principal Investigator. The role covers backend services and APIs, data-processing workflows and frontend dashboards for the policy management, assessment, audit, ranking and incident-response modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI/Django) and Node.js.
  • Implement authentication, role-based access control (RBAC) and logging in the application modules.
  • Build and maintain front-end dashboards using React.js.
  • Develop asynchronous tasks and data-processing workflows, and support integration of AI/LLM components into the compliance and ranking pipelines.
  • Write unit and integration tests, and support CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployment (Docker).
  • Prepare technical documentation and coordinate with frontend and data engineers for seamless API consumption.

  • Tools and Workflow: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, SourceTree, Postman, Jira, Trello, Slack; IDEs/editors such as VS Code, PyCharm, NetBeans, Eclipse, Sublime Text
  • Practices and Other: Scrum, Agile methodology, YAML, cURL
