Applications are invited for the following positions in the project entitled, “Grid Readiness for EV: Enablers and Technological developments (GREET)”, funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.

Project Associate-I (5 positions)

Salary: Rs 37,000 per month + HRA (ANRF norms)

(i) 37,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE

or

(b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions

(ii) 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Minimum Academic Qualification:

Four years bachelor’s degree in engineering

or

Technology from a recognized University or equivalent

Job summary:

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Project Associate-I to support advanced research and development projects in the field of Electric Power Systems. The successful candidates will work on multidisciplinary initiatives involving power system analysis, stability studies, renewable energy integration, and grid modernization. This role requires strong technical expertise in power system and power electronics modeling, simulation, hardware design, hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, and the ability to manage project deliverables efficiently.

Research areas:

  • Grid integration of EV charging infrastructure
  • Development of low-power EV charging infrastructure
  • Development of high-power EV-charging infrastructure

The candidate is required to have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Proficient in Python and PHP for backend development
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend integration
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
  • Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Experience with frameworks such as Flask, Django, Laravel, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting
  • Familiarity with deployment tools and platforms (e.g., Docker, AWS)
  • Power system dynamics, stability, protection, and control; tools and techniques for analyzing the stability and security of power systems
  • Proficiency in PSCAD/RSCAD or PSS/E for dynamic simulation of power systems with detailed modelling of power electronic converter-interfaced generation systems
  • Proficiency in DSP/FPGA programming and PCB Design.
  • Experience with power converter design and control
  • Familiarity with power electronic hardware prototyping and testing
  • Sufficient knowledge and experience in the following areas: Hands-on experience with different microcontrollers, such as Arduino, STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, etc., Hands-on experience with different types of IoT communication modules such as LoRa, Zigbee, WiFi, 6LOWPAN, Bluetooth, GPRS, and GPS, IoT Protocols Development Experience (MQTT, TCP/IP, IEEE802.15.4, etc.), Power System communication protocols development experience (MODBUS, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, etc.), Smart grid/power system protocols and their implementation methods
