Role Overview

The role defines the key responsibility like designing, modelling, and optimizing mechanical and structural components for UAVs, aerospace systems, or related hardware. The role involves CAD modelling, assembly design, simulation, and coordination with fabrication and testing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for UAV structures, mechanical systems, and components.
• Perform structural simulations (FEA), weight optimization, and tolerance analysis.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams for prototyping, molds, and composite structure manufacturing.
• Generate BOM, assembly documentation, and revision control.
• Conduct design iterations based on performance, aerodynamics, and structural feedback.
• Work closely with electronics, propulsion, and flight-testing teams for integration and system-level design compatibility.
• Support troubleshooting and design changes during prototyping and field testing.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech, or Post Graduate, or graduate +3 Years experience in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or relevant discipline.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in UAV or aerospace structural design.
• Knowledge of composite materials, CNC machining, and mold design.
• Familiarity with CFD tools and multi-disciplinary optimization.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks / CATIA / Fusion360 / CREO).
• Understanding of FEA, aerostructures, composites, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and create engineering drawings & GD&T.
