Applications are invited for a Project Associate-I position in an ANRF sponsored project “Theoretical studies of terahertz (THz) spectroscopy...” by Dr. Amalendu Chandra and Dr. Nisanth N Nair (Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur).
The work involves studying battery materials using computational methods, particularly machine learning and molecular dynamics.
We are looking for talented candidates with good mathematical and programming skills to work on the project. Candidates with some background in computational research, including machine learning methods and/or spectral calculations, will be preferred.
The appointment is purely temporary and on a contractual basis.
Description of the Post:
Essential qualification: 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in Materials/Chemical Engineering/Master’s Degree Chemistry and Physics.
Desirable Experience :
(a) Good programming knowledge using any of the following languages: Fortran, C, C++, Python.
(b) Prior experience in computational research in one of the areas: Machine learning methods, Molecular simulations, Spectral calculations.
Salary: Rs. 30000/-Per Month + HRA if staying outside the campus.
Duration of the post: One year (can be extended further depending on satisfactory performance)
