Applications are invited for the hiring of a Project Executive Officer in the Department of Chemical Engineering for Kotak-IITM Save Energy Mission (KISEM) Center at IIT Kanpur. The primary objective of this project is to conduct energy assessment for MSMEs to enhance their energy efficiency and reduce their overall carbon footprints. The KISEM project team at IIT Kanpur comprises five professors from various domains and various energy assessment equipment. The selected candidate will be involved in carrying out walk-throughs and detailed energy assessments for different industries and buildings. They will come up with various customized energy conservation measures in the form of the assessment report and guide the clients in all possible ways to implement the same.
Project Position: Project Executive Officer (1 position)
Role: Energy Assessor
Responsibilities: Perform Energy Audit as per set protocols, Train and oversee Engineers / Technicians in assessment and instrumentation, Data review with Faculty Council, Customer relationship, Audit tool uses/feedback, recommendation, and follow-ups with customer.
Minimum qualifications:
BE/B. Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy/Instrumentation with 4+ years industry experience,
OR
ME/ M. Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy/Instrumentation with 2+ years industry experience.
Candidate must be BEE Certified Energy Auditor and need to have at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% marks or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ST) in their bachelor’s program.
Desired Experience:
Candidates with master’s degree: 2+ years in Energy Auditing of Industries.
Candidates with bachelor’s degree: 4+ years in Energy Auditing of Industries.
Duration: One year (can be extended up to 3 years in case of satisfactory performance)
Salary Range: INR 50,400 – 4200 – 1,26,000 (consolidated) per month commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Duration of Appointment
- The post is purely temporary and contractual.
- Appointment is initially for one year, with renewal for another two years, subject to satisfactory performance
