Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate at BSBE-MFCEM, IIT Kanpur. The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis.

Title of the Project: Testing charges for equipment usage and vector production

Number of positions: One

Essential qualification:

M.Tech/ MSc/ B.Tech in Biotechnology / Biosciences / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Bioengineering / or any relevant discipline.

Desirable: Prior experience in

• Strong background in molecular biology, including gene cloning, plasmid construction, and promoter or regulatory sequence design.
• Hands-on experience with bacterial or mammalian cell culture, transformation, and reporter-based characterization (e.g., fluorescence or luminescence assays).
• Familiarity with qPCR, Reverse Transcription PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and microscopy techniques for gene expression analysis.
• Experience with ELISA, or biochemical assays for metabolite quantification.
• Working knowledge of biochemical assay development and data analysis using standard laboratory tools.

Salary: 30,600/ month (Consolidated) (21600-1800-54000)

Duration: Initially for 1 year and based on the performance extendable further.
