Application is invited for the post of 'Project Engineer' in Department of Advance Imaging Centre, IIT Kanpur. The Post is temporary and on contractual basis for a period of ONE year. The period may be extended based on performance and requirement from time to time.

Essential Qualification and post Qualification Experience: B.Tech with MBA + relevant exp OR B.Tech + 3 years relevant exp.

Desirable Qualification:

1. B.Tech with strong knowledge to operate of HRTEM (Transmission Electron Microscope) and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope).
2. The candidate should also have knowledge with maintenance of analytical equipment’s and should have at least 6-7 years’ experience in relevant field.
3. The candidate should have strong background on dealing with technological problems and an understanding of promising approaches to their solutions. He should have experience of sample preparation equipment’s like Ultra Microtome, Vitrobot, and TEM Mill etc. will be highly preferred.

Scale of pay: Rs. 26400-2200-66000

Duration of appointment: The post is purely temporary in nature and is for the duration of ONE year initially or till the end of the project, whichever is earlier. which may be extended for another year or more year based on performance.

The institute reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualification and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called accordingly for interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test/interview.
