		Prof R. Sharan, (Professor of Electrical Engineering at I.I.T. Kanpur), with his vast experience of working with people, and a variety of disciplines was instrumental in putting together a large committed interdisciplinary group at IIT Kanpur and led the Centre in its formative stages. He is currently advisor to the Centre and continues to guide the activities

		Dr. Vibha Tripathi is Scientist in the Samtel Centre for Display Technology. Her research interests include amorphous and organic semiconductors and their applications to Solar Cells, TFTs and flat panel displays.
