Anand Kumar Jha

Ph.D. (PhD, University of Rochester, USA; 2009) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Dr. Anand Kumar Jha joined the department in 2013. He got his doctoral degree in 2009 from University of Rochester, USA under the supervision of Prof. Robert W. Boyd. He then continued as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Rochester until 2010. Subsequently, he worked at Intel Corporation in Portland, USA as an R&D Engineer before joining the department as an Assistant Professor. 

Dr. Jha's main research interests are in the broad area of quantum optics, including quantum information. He is also interested in cold-atom physics and foundations of quantum mechanics.
