are invited for one position of Senior Project Engineer
under the project entitled ‘Diffusion and Kinetic
Studies in Alloys and Oxides’.
Desired Qualification:
M. Tech. with 3 year experience or preferably PhD in Metallurgical
Engineering, Materials Science or any relevant discipline.
Experience/ Higher Qualification:
1. Candidate should have previous hands on research experience in
one or more of: Materials Characterization, Metal Processing and
Heat Treatments, Thermal barrier Coatings on Ni-based Superalloys
and Electrical Characterization of Oxide Semiconductors
2. The research profile under this project includes diffusion studies
in alloys as well as oxides, microstructural characterization (using
optical microscopy, SEM and TEM), Electrical Characterization of
Oxides, Heat Treatments of Al-alloys, developing kinetic models
etc.
3. The candidate is expected to be self-driven for conducting research
and publishing his/her work in high quality scientific journals
and conferences.
4. The candidate should have demonstrated verbal and writing skills
in communicating results of his/her own research.
5. A good background in mathematics is preferred.
6. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Salary range:
INR. 27000-2700-54000 (consolidated)
The position is temporary for a maximum of one year. Duration can
be extended at the end of year on satisfactory performance.
