AApplications are invited for positions of Consultant to work on "Development of Dielectric Resonators for Applications to Microwave Systems" sponsored by "Space Application Centre ISRO Ahmedabad" (Proj. No. (SAC-EE-20100269) on purely temporary basis. The project involves processing/development of ceramic microwave materials and fabrication / characterization of ultra-low loss dielectric resonator devices for space communication systems operating upto 20GHz microwave frequencies.

The qualification and experience requirements for the above mentioned post is as follows:.

Essential Qualification: PhD/ Master’s degree in Materials Science with a minimum of 10 years experience of processing, fabrication and characterization of Electro-ceramic/Microwave Dielectric Ceramic materials and devices.

Background & Experience: The project requires extensive development work, mainly design and preparation of compound metal-oxide electro-ceramic material systems possessing for very low dielectric loss at microwave frequencies and subsequently, fabrication of dielectric resonators of desired shapes and dimensions meeting stringent dielectric properties and technical specifications.

Salary Range: Rs. 20000-2500-50000 per month depending upon qualifications and experience.

Duration: One year and extendable till May 2012
