Applications are invited for temporary position of Project Scientist/ Project Engineer/ Assistant Project Manager in Institute Security Information System Project, Department of Computer Science & Engineering IIT Kanpur.

Duration of Appointment: 1 Year (extendable based on the performance).

Project Scientist: One
Qualification and Experience: Ph.D or M.Sc. (Physics) + 3 years experience.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having more than 7 years experience.
Salary Range: 22000–2200-44000 per month.
Job Description for Project Scientist:
1. Database administration, Linux System Administration. Good Knowledge of PHP & C Language, MySQL & Oracle is mandatory.

Project Engineer: One
Qualification and Experience: M.Tech or B.Tech + 3 years experience.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having more than 6 years experience. Salary Range: 22000–2200-44000 per month.
Job Description for Project Engineer:
1. Code Developer: Must know programming in PHP and ‘C’, good knowledge of Linux, Shell scripting, SVG, GIS & MySQL database is mandatory.

Assistant Project Manager: Two
Qualification and Experience: Post Graduate (MBA /MCA /M.Com /M.Sc. /MA)
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having more than 6 years experience. Salary Range: 11000–1100-22000 per month.
Job Description for Assistant Project Manager:
1. Official Work
2. Data Management
3. GPS Data Collection & GIS data collection using GPS tracker.
4. Good knowledge/information about IIT Estate i.e. housing system, institute buildings etc.
5. Physical data collection/ verification will be a regular assignment.

The selection will be based on a written test and interview to be held at IIT Kanpur. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview. Short listed candidates will be informed about the date and place of the written test/interview.
