“Photonic crystal based devices for light control”

Applications are invited for One post of Project Associate (equivalent to Junior Research Fellow (JRF)) and One post of Senior Project Associate (equivalent to Senior Research Fellow (SRF)) under the project entitled “Photonic crystal based devices for light control” at the Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur.

JRF:

Essential qualification: First class in M.Sc (Physics) OR 5-yr Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc

(Physics or Photonics) OR any Masters degree in Materials Science.

Desirable qualification: A valid score / pass in GATE / NET (JRF) / CSIR (JRF)

examination

Salary: Rs. 16,000 per month (consolidated) Duration: One year

SRF:

Essential qualification: First class in M.Sc (Physics) OR 5-yr Integrated B.Sc-M.Sc

(Physics or Photonics) OR any Masters degree in Materials Science along with a minimum of 2 years of research experience.

Desirable qualification: A valid score / pass in GATE / NET (JRF) / CSIR (JRF)

examination. Familiarity in nano-material preparation and characterization and optical
techniques will be an advantage.

Salary: Rs. 18,000 per month (consolidated)

Duration: One year
