NSS at IIT Kanpur

NSS at IIT Kanpur is involved in providing a platform for interaction between the IIT Kanpur students, faculty members, employees and the population living in the villages around IIT Kanpur campus.

The focus areas are developing a harmony with environment, education to the underprivildged section of society, developing appreciation for the beauty of nature and the world itself. NSS is also taken up by 1st year students as a course under CPA. Every year about 90-120 students opt for it.

Many of them make themselves as the work force to do these activities beyond their course work during their stay at IIT Kanpur.
