Civil Engineering Summer Camp (www.iitk.ac.in/summercamp)

Developed the concept of Summer Camp for UG Students in Civil Engineering to motivate them towards the profession and for leadership development.

• The camp is being organized annually since the summer of 2001 at IITK and is being acclaimed by the industry and the academia.

• The President of India has a session with the students of the camp in summer of 2003 at Rashtrapati Bhawan

• On this innovative project, a reviewed paper was published in the Journal of Professional Issues in Engineering Education and Practice of the American Society of Civil Engineers (Vol 130, No. 3, July 2004)

About 40 top Civil Engineering companies have made financial contributions for operating costs of the Camp.
