Seventh National Conference on Air Breathing Engines & Aerospace Propulsion was inaugurated at IIT Kanpur on 5th November 2004. Professor Kripa Shanker, Deputy Director, IITK presided over the function. The conference is devoted to presentations in all aspects of Aerospace Propulsion (aircraft engines and rockets).Giving the details of the conference, the organizing secretary NCAGE-2004, Professor R.K. Sullery stated that there are 12 technical sessions covering 59 contributed papers and 5 invited speakers.Dr. Dipankar Banerjee, Chief Controller of R&D, Defence Research & Development Organization, was the chief guest. He delivered the inaugural lecture. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Distinguished Alumnus of IITK and Director, Aerodynamics, Aerothermodynamics and Acoustics, NASA Langley Research Centre, Hampton Virginia, USA delivered the key note address.
