Dr. Praveen Dwivedi

Research: Semiconductor Device Characterization
About Him: Praveen Dwivedi (IEEE Senior Member) received the B.E. degree in electronics engineering from the Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior, in 2011, the M.Tech. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, India, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, Indore, India, in 2019. He has been the Research Establishment Officer with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, since December 2019. His current research interests include semiconductor device simulations, compact modeling of industry-standard models and On-Wafer characterization of DC IV, RF S-parameters, pulsed IV, load pull, and noise measurements.

Dr. Jay Hind Kumar Verma

Research: Device Modeling and Simulation
About Him: Jay Hind Kumar Verma received the B.Sc. degree in Physics and M.Sc. degree in Electronics from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad. He has submitted PhD thesis to department of Electronic Science, University of Delhi. His doctoral research was concerned with modeling and simulation of various gate all around MOSFETs.

Dr. Imran Ahamed

Research: Atomistic Simulation
About Him: Imran has completed his bachelor’s and master’s in physics from AMU, Aligarh. He got his PhD from IIT Mandi in the field of computational condensed matter physics. During his PhD studies, he has been Simon’s visitor to International Center for Theoretical Physics, ICTP, Italy. His current research areas include first principle study of electronic and magnetic properties of 2D materials.

Dr. Ahmad Khusro

Research: Characterization and Modeling of GaN HEMTs
About Him: Ahmad Khusro received the B.Tech. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India, in 2011. He completed his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India in 2015 and 2021 respectively. He also worked as a Visiting Researcher under the Visiting Student Research Program at Integrated Microwaves Packaging Antennas and Circuits Technology (IMPACT) Laboratory, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include characterization and modeling (compact and machine learning) of GaN HEMTs for high frequency circuits and system design.

Research: Growth and Fabrication of VO2 devices.
About Him: He received his M.E VLSI Design from PSG Tamilnadu.. His M.E research work was Design of Tunnel FET by TCAD simulation. Currently, he is pursuing PhD degree in Microelectronics from IIT Kanpur electrical engineering Department. His current research work includes fabrication and characterization of insulator to metal transition materials, thin films and devices.

Ravi Goel

Research: Compact Modeling of bulk MOSFETs.
About Him: Ravi Goel has completed his M.Tech from NIT Hamirpur in VLSI Design. His research interest includes the modeling and characterization of advanced semiconductor devices. He currently works with the BSIM team for enhancing and updating the BSIMBULK model.

Raghvendra Dangi

Research: Compact Modeling of GaN HEMTs.
About Him: Raghvendra did his B. Tech from IET-DAVV Indore in 2014 and Masters in VLSI design from VNIT Nagpur in 2016. As a research scholar at IIT Kanpur, he is primarily focused on GaN based devices, especially trap related phenomena, their modeling and simulation.

Gavax Joshi

Research: Ga2O3 growth and Device fabrication.
About Him: I have completed B.Sc (Electronics)[2006], M.Sc (Electronics) [2008] and M.Tech (Microelectronics) [2012] from VNSGU - Surat - Gujarat, Saurashtra University - Rajkot - Gujarat and IIIT Allahabad - U.P respectively. Post M.Tech I have 4 years of Teaching experience

Ahtisham Ul Haq Pampori

Research: GaN based RF Power Amplifier design, Device modeling and characterization
About Him: Ahtisham is a doctoral student at IIT Kanpur, currently working on the characterization and modeling of GaN HEMT RF devices. His research focus embodies both modeling the devices and their applications in RF systems. Before joining IIT Kanpur, he served as an associate consultant at Frost & Sullivan in Malaysia with a particular focus on Cloud and Big Data verticals. He holds his Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications engineering from NIT Srinagar. Being a denizen of the Himalayas, he is highly inclined towards hiking , exploring new places and assimilating new cultures.

Research: Atomistic Simulation - 2D and Ferroelectric materials.
About Him: Achintya Priydarshi belongs to a very small village(Gauriya) of chitrakoot district, U.P. He did B.Sc. (Physics) from Ewing Christian College, University of Allahabad and M.Sc. (Electronics & communication) from School of Electronics, Devi Ahilya University Indore with specialization in VLSI. After his M.Sc he completed his M.Tech. In Nanotechnology from School of Nanotechnology Rajiv Gandhi Technical University Bhopal and joined professor Yogesh Singh Chauhan's group as a researcher at NANO LAB IIT Kanpur.

Mohammad Zaid

Research: GaN based RF Circuit Design - LNA and PA.
About Him: Mohd Zaid is currently a Ph.D. scholar at IIT Kanpur with his research mainly focused on GaN based RF circuit design and implementation ,power amplifier design to be more specific. He did his B.Tech from Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology,Aligarh Muslim University in electronic engineering and then he did M.Tech from the same college in the field of electronic circuits and system design. His M.Tech work included development of anti theft system for vehicles and fpga implementation of 32-bit RISC processor with improved performance.

Nilesh Pandey

Research: Ferroelectric Memories and Transistors
About Him: He is currently enrolled as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow (2018) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, INDIA. He received his B. Tech degree in Electronics & Communications from NIT Kurukshetra. His current research interest involves the physics and modeling of Ferroelectric and Ferromagnetic domain wall memories and dynamics. He is also the winner of IEEE-EDS Master's Fellowship (2019), committee member of IEEE-EDS Young Professionals (2020).

Shivendra Parihar

Research: RF FinFET Devices and Circuits
About Him: He is currently associated with the MVLSI department as a Ph.D student. His primary research interests include the characterization and compact modelling of FinFETs for RF circuit design.His previous works were on different industry standard compact models such as BSIM4, BSIM-CMG and BSIM-SOI.

Abhishek Mishra

Research: Modeling and Characterization of Phase Transition material-based RF Devices
About Him: Abhishek Mishra is a doctoral student at IIT Kanpur. His primary work focuses on Phase Transition materials growth, characterization, their modeling. He is also exploring the applications of IMT materials in RF circuits. Abhishek received his B. Tech degree in Electronics & Communications from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Noida and M. Tech in Embedded System Design from NIT Kurukshetra.

Anirban Kar

Research: Modeling and Simulation of Nanosheet Transistors
About Him: Anirban is a doctoral student at IIT Kanpur, currently working on the characterization and modeling of Nanosheet transistors and FinFETs. He is also working as a CMC sponsored BSIM developer in collaboration with University of California, Berkley, USA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications engineering from Bangalore University and a master’s degree in VLSI design from NIT Meghalaya. After graduating from Bangalore university, he had served as a Research & Development Engineer at Nokia Networks, Bangalore where he had worked on the design, development, and deployment of 4G LTE network. Research: MOSFET Modeling at Cryogenic Temperatures
About Him: He is currently pursuing PhD in MVLSI. He received his B-tech in electronics and communications engineering from GCET Jammu and M-tech from University of Kashmir. His present research focuses on MOSFET modeling at cryogenic temperatures.

Swetaki Chatterjee

Research: Hardware Security
About Him: Swetaki received his B.Tech degree in 2019 from Institute of Engineering and Management under the West Bengal University of Technology. He joined IIT Kanpur as an MS(R) student and fascinated by the world of research he converted to the Ph.D. program. His research interest includes emerging transistor technologies for unconventional computing applications such as hardware security, logic-in-memory, and in-memory-computing. Apart from research, he loves Football, Netflix, and Books.

Shubham Kumar

Research: Hardware Security
About Him: Shubham Kumar is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at IIT Kanpur, India. His research interest is in Hardware Security and Neuromorphic Computing. He had joined IIT Kanpur as an MS(R) and then converted to a Ph.D. degree. He had completed his B.Tech degree from C.V.Raman college of engineering, Bhubaneswar, Odisha in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 2019. After that, he worked as a Systems Engineer at TCS, Kolkatta. Cricket, Movies, and traveling are some of his hobbies.

About Him: Shivendra completed his M.Tech. from NIT Srinagar in 2020 and soon joined NanoLab for his Ph.D. degree. Apart from this he has worked as programmer analyst in Cognizant for about 2.5 years. His M.Tech. thesis was on developing a physics based compact model for 2-D material based FETs.
