§         Summer 1982 : Studied dislocation generation and propagation in single crystal of iron-silicon through plate impact experiments

§         Summer 1980: Developed a new system to pass a short rise time (less than 2 nanoseconds) stress pulse through solid-liquid interfaces.

§         Summer 1978 : Studied dislocation configuration in single crystal of LiF under scanning microscope

§         June 1976-Dec. 1977: Conducted dynamic plate impact experiments to pass a 200 nanoseconds long and high magnitude stress pulse (700 MPa) through single crystals of LiF and recovered the specimen for studying dislocation generation and motion.
