The Indo-US workshop is planned to promote the research and application of computational optimization and systems analysis in Indian academics, research labs and industries. The workshop will also provide a platform to explore future collaborations between Indian and US researchers in the broad area of optimization. The workshop will be attended by 10 top researchers from US universities and industries in the area of optimization including theoretical optimization, numercial optimization, and genetic algorithm based optimization. A number of top researchers from Indian academics and industries in the above area will also be invited. A partial list of participants from USA and India is announced below.

    How to get to IIT Kanpur:
    By Air: There are a number of flights from Delhi to LUCKNOW airport during the day by the major airlines (Indian Airlines, Jet airways, Air Sahara, and Deccan). Some are evern linked with major international airlines. Lucknow airport is about two hours drive from IIT Kanpur. Organizers of the workshop may be contacted for a pick-up from the airport.

    By Rail: Indian railways have a frequent service from New Delhi Railway station to Kanpur Central Railway station. For a schedule and booking of a seat, please visit Indain Railway. We recommend an early reservation to ensure an entry to the train.
