The Snitch

"The Snitch" was a first prize winner at Endeavour 2006, has also won Lucas-TVS Innovation Award of Rs ONE LAKH, in the National Level Design Contest organized by Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), India. The final phase of the contest was held at RMK Engineering college, Chennai on 15th April, 2007. The project was developed indigenously by our IITK students comprising of Manoj Kumar Tripathi (Y4216), Rahul Sharma (Y4323), Kumar Abhishek (Y4201), Hardik Makkar (Y4156) and Abhayendra Narayan Singh (Y4007).

ABSTRACT OF "THE SNITCH":

"The project includes design and fabrication of an R/C (Remote Controlled) plane and was mainly taken to build an aircraft model which has optimized performance characteristics in different phases of flights and mission requirements. It promises good overall performance combined with Short Take Off and Landing, reasonably high cruise speeds with great ease of maneuverability. The power-off stall speed to is very low, which is another key feature of this. The captivating feature of this plane is that it is circular in shape which is the result of the combination of two different forms of airplanes, Delta Winged aircrafts and a Forward Swept planes."
