The Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur has instituted an award entitled 'Honorary Fellow', in the honor of the veterans who have contributed for the multifaceted development of the Institute in an exemplary way, effective from the year 2005.
The Board has unanimously resolved to confer upon Prof. K. R. Sarma the award of 'Honorary Fellow', for the year 2006 for the outstanding and lifetime contributions made by him to the growth of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Prof. E. C. Subba Rao & Mr. F. C. Kohli of Tata Consultancy Services were conferred with this award for the year 2005, in recognition of their outstanding services to the growth of the Insitute.
The award ceremony was organized on the evening of Friday the 16th March, 2007 at the institute attended by members of BOG, faculties, students & staff of the Institute and the senior retired faculty and staff members of the institute.
