EPFL (the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne) is a leading technological university in Switzerland which has a long history of scientific cooperation with several of its counterparts in India. EPFL has also signed an MOU for academic exchange with IITK. This has so far taken the form of student exchange, elaboration of joint research and cooperation programmes, development of internship programmes in India and in Switzerland, etc. Our campus hosts a vibrant community of Indian students and researchers.
EPFL would like to further encourage international students, holding a first academic degree (Bachelor or Master), to pursue their graduate education here at the EPFL. Students with outstanding academic records also have the possibility to apply for EPFL scholarships that cover their living expenses during their Master & PhD studies. In addition, admission to one of our 17 PhD programmes is also tied to a very competitive remuneration package.
On September 26, 2007, Prof. Pramod Rastogi and Dr Noukakis responsible for promoting EPFL graduate programs will be visiting a set of five highly esteemed academic campuses in India, including IITK.
