Objectives and Scope

Metals and alloys constitute an important area of engineering materials, which play a dominant role in the Indian and world economy. In the present global scenario, metals and alloys will play an even more crucial role in various advanced engineering applications. Therefore, it is anticipated that the demand for stringent requiremenrt for new metallic alloys will increase in the future. The international conference to be held at IIT Kanpur between 07-10 December 2007 will focus on the theme of the past, present and future of metals and alloys and their applications in diverse eningeering fields.

METALLO-2007 will showcase the latest global trends in metals and alloys research, education and industry. In particular, the latest developments, strategies and material requirements for a range of applications in the following sectors will be highighted:

Construction
