- The
Psychology discipline in the Department of Humanities and Social
Sciences at IIT Kanpur has been able to create substantial impact
through teaching, research, projects, and consultancy. The
discipline is active in the areas of Social Psychology,
Cross-cultural Psychology, Personality, Indian concepts relevant
to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Cognition, Social
Representations of Health and Illness, Military Psychology,
Organizational Behavior, Human Processes at Work and Service,
including Human Resource Development. Currently, there are three
faculty members and fifteen PhD students in the Psychology
discipline.
