T.V. Room
Hall of residence-XI has a large TV room well equipped with a lagre LED TV and 5.1 channel dolby digital home theater system having 2 large speakers, 2 medium size speakers, 2 small speakers, 1 sound controller and 1 sound tutor. TV room broadcasts several movies and sports tournaments from time to time to fulfill the need of entertainment of the students.
Computer Room
To fulfill the need of computers for the students, Hall of residence-XI is well equipped with a Computer room having 6 working computer systems dedicated to the hall residents.
Music Room
IIT Kanpur is well known for its cultural events and music plays a very important role in conducting the event in a more memorable and pleasant way. To cater the needs of music , Hall of Residence-XI is having a Music room which contains 1 Tabla set, 2 Guitars, 1 electric keyboard, 1 Drum set, 1 Mic with stand, 17 lead wires, sound controllers and 5 speakers.
Sports Facilties
IIT Kanpur has been a several times champion of the prestigious inter IIT tournament. To serve the residents with the sports facilities, Hall of Residence-XI is well equipped with indoor as well as outdoor sports facilities having 3 Badminton courts, 1 Basketball court, 1 Volley Ball court for outdoor and Table tenis and chess for indoor sports and lush green central lawn and a common lawn for multipurpose use.
For promoting the sports enthusiasm in residents, Hall-XI has 2 Carrom Boards, 3 Chess boards, 3 VolleyBalls, 3 Badminton rackets, 3 Footballs, 2 Basketballs, 2 T.T. bats and 3 balls.
Reading Room
Hall of Residence-XI is the subscriber of almost all the leading news papers i.e. The Hindu, Times of India, Hindustan Times, The India Express, Business Stand, The Economics Times, Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala, Hindustan etc.
