Recent Activities

Mr. Arijeet Mitra, Ms. Soumita Boral, and Mr. Sarwar Nizam presented their research work in Goldschmidt conference, Barcelona, Spain from 18-23rd August 2019

Mr. Arijeet Mitra received 1950 euros from the European Association of  Geochemistry (EAG) to attend the Goldschmidt Conference 2019 held at Barcelona, Spain. 

Mr. Haribansh Singh and Ms. Aayushi Ram joined our lab to carry out their thesis work

Ms. Nikitasha Chatterjee, (joined M.Tech 2017) defended his thesis successfully in July, 2019.

Dr. Tanuj Shukla joined our Lab in May, 2019 as an Institute Post-Doc fellow (IPDF).

Mr. Arijeet Mitra received the prestigious Raman Charpak Fellowship to visit CNRS-CRPG and work with Dr. Laurie Reisberg for 5 months.

The Lab will be getting equipped with India's first QQQ-ICP-MS very soon.

Mr. Sarthak Ghosh, (joined M.Tech 2016) defended his thesis successfully in June, 2018.

Ms. Nikitasha Chatterjee joined our Lab to carry out her thesis work.

Mr. Sarwar Nizam received guest student appointment at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution between August-September 2018 (WHOI), June 2018.

Mr. Arijeet Mitra received guest student appointment at University of Leoben under the guidance of Dr. Thomas Meisel between Apil-July 2018, February 2018.

Ms. Soumita Boral and Mr. Sarwar Nizam presented their research work in Goldschmidt conference, Paris from 13-18th August 2017.

Ms. Quyen Do visited our lab between January to June 2016 with the Research Training Fellowship for Developing Country Scientists from Government of India

Ms. Soumita Boral received guest student appointment at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution between May-September 2016 (WHOI), February 2016.

Dr. Indra Sen presented his research work in Goldschmidt Conference, June 2016.

Mr. Arijeet Mitra and Ms. Soumita Boral received the Introductory Student Membership (free) from Geochemical Society.

Mr. Arijeet Mitra has been awarded a travel grant to attend the 4th international workshop on Highly Siderophile Elements. Geochemical Society awarded £ 350 for the travel.

Mr. Arijeet Mitra presented his research work in the 4th International Conference on Highly Siderophile Elements held at Durham University, UK from10-15th July 2016.

Indra Sen received the 2014 Young Scientist Award from Ministry of Mines, Government of India. Award was presented at Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Residence) by the Honorable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee on 2016
