Thesis Title:
Origin of Carbonatite, Amba Dongar, Gujarat: Geochemical and isotopic constraints.

Abstract:

Carbonatite complexes have restricted temporal and spatial distribution. The origin of Carbonatite is topic of debate from the last half century and still controversial matter. The carbonatite has high economic significance particularly in mineralization of LREE, Nb and P elements. Carbonatite is an igneous rock having more than 50 modal % carbonate minerals and comprises less than 1 % among the all other terrestrial igneous rock. Carbonatite provides clue regarding the composition, thermal history and evolution of the earth’s mantle. It is the best rock to know the Mantle homogeneity or heterogeneity.
