Lab1: Week of Aug 1-5
 

Students should familiarize themselves with the computing environment. They should start feeling comfortable with keyboard and mouse. They should be able to:

• login/logout, change password,
• use an editor like kwrite or any other text editor
• create/delete file, change file protection,
• send/read email,
• set proxy, surf internet,
• open intranet site like IIT/CC/course etc.
