PROJECT TITLE
A File Manager ....."EXPLORER"
OBJECTIVES
The objective of the project is to create a "FILE MANAGER" which has got
different menus that perform various types of functions on the files stored in
the hard disks.The various menus of the "FILE MANAGER" and their functions are
given as follows,
- "FILE" MENU :This menu will perform the routine tasks such as those
of opening,creating,deleting,renaming the files selected.
- "EDIT" MENU :This menu will perform functions of copy and paste.
- "VIEW" MENU :This menu will be designed to display the files the
way they are intended eg. using small or large icons, giving details of the
files when required, or displaying the files as a list.
- "FIND" MENU :This menu will search for files or folders on the hard
disk, given a part or full of the name.
- "HELP" MENU :This menu will be designed basically to help the user
who is working with the file manager explaining its different functions.
The File manager will display the files in multiple frames ,
eg. it will display the folders in one folder and the contents of the selected
folder in another frame. Further some more functions might be added in the file
manager , eg.. displaying the contents of the hard disk as a "TREE VIEW"
or "AS A NETWORK". These will be the intended functions of the file
manager.

INPUT: The input given by the user is through the mouse or keyboard . Such
events known as Mouse or keyboard Events will be the input for the project . The
user might point to a certain menu and click on it ...this is the rquired
input.
OUTPUT: The output is in the form of the functions that the program is
supposed to perform . These functions are essentially those listed above under
the different menus.
