Dr G. C. Ray - 12th Hari Ramji Toshniwal Gold Medal, for outstanding innovations for application to industry, preferably in the field of electronic Instrumentation leading to the development and production of electronic instruments and related systems for use in India and abroad.

Dr S. R. Doradla - 16th Bimal Bose Awards for outstanding contributions in the field of power electronics in the broadest sense.

Dr L. P. Singh and Dr K. V. Deshikachar received  Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Memorial Medal in the Indian Engineering Congress held at Nagpur, January 1998.

Other Achievements

Gaurav Gupta and Shobhit Niranjan won the Best Project Award for "Autopilot Development for Mini UAV: Hardware-Software Co-Design" , at the IEEE AESS All India Student Project Contest, 2006 held at Hyderabad. Their work was guided by Dr Rajat Moona.

Abhinav Agarwal and Vibhor Jain won the Best Presentation Award for 'Use of Fractal Antennas in Amateur Radio', at the Hamfest India 2004 held at Mumbai. Their work was guided by Dr A. R. Harish.

Dr R. S. Anand, Dr A. Awasthi, Dr J. Narain :  Awarded a cash prize of Rs.1000/- and a Certificate for the Best Poster Paper entitled “Effect of the CN-PPV layer on the performance of PPV/CN-PPV Polymer LED” at IWPSD 2003 held at IITM from 16 – 20 Dec 2003.

Dr Arindam Ghosh was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship by the United States Department of State for visiting the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign between May-July, 2003.  

Deepak Sharma and Deepak Panwar ,'Electrical and Optical Transients in Organic Light Emitting Diodes: Modeling, Simulations and Measurements',  first prize in Intel India Student Research Contest 2003-04, guided by Dr B. MazhariDr Y. N. Mohapatra

Dr L. P. Singh, Maj S. C. Dey received Certificate of Merit from Institution of Engineers (India) for their paper, December 1989
