International Travel Support for Faculty
Interaction with peers and networking is the best way to enhance one's knowledge and understanding. International conferences offer this natural avenue. Travel grants for attending international conferences are few and far between. The situation is specially grim for young faculty. The International Travel Support grants may be instituted individually or funds may be donated to a pool fund. A travel support of Rs. 100,000/- per faculty per year would require an endowment of Rs. 20 Lakhs ($50,000) per travel fellowship.

 

International Travel Support for Students
Students may seek international travel support from DRPG office to present a paper in conference/symposium/seminar abroad. These travel grants are supported by generous donations from alumni and well wishers of higher education and research in the Institute. It is important that the thesis supervisor and Head of the Department give a reasonable amount of financial support to avail travel grant from DRPG office. A committment from internal sources helps to convince a sponsor to give funds.

Students are advised to acknowledge the sponsor for financial support in their manuscripts/presentations.
