Mr. Ravindra Nath Akhoury

Ravindra Nath Akhoury (BT/EE/1968) has set up a faculty chair in memory of his late mother. Mr. Akhoury is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MacKay Shields, a multi-product investment management firm with approximately $40 billion of assets under management. He is a member of the Executive Management Committee of New York Life Insurance Company, and is on the Board of India Today along with other US and Indian Corporations. Ravi is also a Director of Thompson Press. After finishing his studies at IITK, he obtained an M.S. in Quantitative Methods from SUNY at Stony Brook.
