INLAKS AWARD

2nd year B.Tech students, Mohit Bansal and Sameer Behere have been awarded the prestigious INLAKS AWARD. This award carries a CASH award of Rs. 50, 000/- per year for the next three years to each of the recipients. The first installment of this award, Cheques of Rs. 25.000 /- each were presented to Sameer and Mohit by the Director, Prof. S. G. Dhande.

Inlaks foundation was set up in 1976 by a businessman Indoo Shivdasani with a corpus of US $ 4 Million and is best known for the scholarships it gives to Indian Students in the areas as diverse as economics and fashion design, media and philosophy, fine arts and special education, provided of course, that the applicant is not only absolutely brilliant in the field of study but has the drive to succeed whatever be the circumstances. The trust is now handled by the daughter of Mr. Shivdasani, Mrs. Bina Selda di Monteluce.
