Mr. Varun Jain & Mr. Subhonmesh Bose, 2nd Year B.Tech. students of Electrical engineering at IIT Kanpur have bagged the prestigious GOLDMAN SACHS GLOBAL LEADER AWARD, in its second year of inception in India.

GOLDMAN SACHS foundation is committed to developing outstanding young leaders for the new century. The Goldman Sachs Leaders program seeks to train and develop tomorrow's educators, policy makers, business leaders, research scientists, social entrepreneurs and other professionals and to create an International network through which they can share ideas, work collaboratively and begin to change the world together.

The program recognizes their outstanding achievements and abilities by awarding each GLOBAL Leader a sum of US$ 3000.00 (three thousand dollars).

A total of 29 students were selected from INDIA and then based on the interviews 15 out of these will be selected to attend the Goldman Sachs Global Leadership Institute in New York, for one week in July, on an all expenses paid trip.
