This is the only electronics’ workstation outside some high funda labs at IIT Kanpur where any student irrespective of his department can work freely & can build even complicated projects. If you have any type of interest in the electronics then this is the best place to join in. Hope to see some of you who have their interests in the electronics in ELECTRONICS' CLUB.

Lots & lots of projects are announced in the ELECTRONICS’ CLUB to the students who join the club. Here are some of the projects some of which are under construction & some are offered to any of the students. These also include some very basic projects for the sake of students who haven't any electronics background but are interested in electronics.

The ELECTRONICS' CLUB has every component that you might need to build even a complicated project. Some things that are really needed but rare

Three Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes
Two Function Generators

We have a few high power Mechanical tools with us. Do you want to make a robo?

A powersaw
A powerdrill
A punching machine
A table equipped with anchors and a cutting tool

... and some normally used things like

Two Digital Multimeter
A analog Multimeter
Three Soldrons
Three Desoldering pumps
Lots of breadboards (or if you like microboards)

You can also get a hand drill, acrylic, handsaw, lots of cheap soldering irons. Obviously you find all common electronics components like resistors, capacitors, diodes, gates, linear digital, transistors, ROM/EPROM, Transformers, LEDs, pots...a hell lot of things and we have a whole range of them. So you don't need to run to city every now and then, if you blast your Capacitor or misuse your 741. Hey! how to get some good small precise inductors...any idea?

We have a very good collection of books...

Databooks (National Semi, Motorola, CMOS handbook are sought after)
Hell many volumes of "Electronics for you"
similarly many volumes of "Electronix"
Many books on a number of projects
"The Art of Electronics" by Horowitz & Hill with student manual
Esc202 Lab Manual (A Basic Electronics lab course manual at IITK)

We plan to start a wall magazine as tutorial to first year students so that they come to know about Electronics basics. If some one of you can provide with some material then we would be greatly thankful.
