Applications are invited for the position of SRF to work in a sponsored research project supported by BARC, Government of India, under the supervision of the undersigned. The details are as follows:

Project Title: "Local heat transfer during film condensation of steam- hydrogen mixture in upward and downward flow"

Description: Measurement of local and average heat transfer coefficient during film condensation of steam on flat vertical plate in the presence of air and helium gas for upward and downward flow. The flow conditions will be in line with possible accident scenario. Investigation includes variation of heat transfer coefficient with different gas concentration, operating pressures and temperatures, flow configuration, flow Reynolds numbers involving natural, forced and mixed convection mode of heat transfer.

Duration of the project position:
This post is purely temporary for a period of one year. Appointment may be terminated at any time depending on the requirement of this project and performance of the candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:
M.E. /M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

Desirable Qualifications:

• M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (Specialization in Thermal Fluid science)

• Excellent academic record and exposure in the development of inverse heat flux sensors for the measurement of local heat transfer.

• IR thermography techniques

• Industrial experience

Salary slab: Rs. 28000 per month,
