Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.
For Project Technician:
Minimum Qualification: (B.Sc. + 4 years relevant experience) OR (3 years of Engg. Diploma + 4 years relevant experience) OR (High School + ITI+ 9 years’ experience OR)
Desirable qualification:
B.Sc. or 3 year Engg. Diploma or 2 year National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) certificate is desirable.
Desirable experience: Candidate should have at least 20 years’ experience, out of which at least 5 years’ experience should be in three or more of the following:
- Managing of an electronic semiconductor device processing lab
- Handling semiconductor processing chemicals, cleanroom consumables and their appropriate disposal
- Operating a lathe and other machines to build jigs and setups for carrying out experiments
- Basic repair and maintenance of electronic equipment
- Basic repair of vacuum thermal deposition systems and/or similar processing equipment
Salary: 18000-1500-45000
Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of three years or end of the project, whichever is earlier
