Applications are invited for the position of Project Mechanic (01) at the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K).
POSITION: Project Mechanic: (01)
- Minimum Qualification: High School + 5 years relevant experience.
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a biotechnology research laboratory in an academic institutions/ research & development organization.
- Well skilled to work with scientific equipment such as CO2 incubators, laminar hoods, horizontal high pressure autoclave and individually ventilated cages (IVCs).
- Well skilled in washing and autoclaving laboratory glassware and plastic wares.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in laboratory animal facility.
- Should be able to understand spoken & written instructions in English.
Salary: Rs. 6600-660-13200
The position is purely temporary for one year and based on the performance extendable further until duration of project.
