Call for Nominations for Distinguished Teacher Award 2007


Nominations are invited from faculty, students, and alumni of IITK for consideration for the Distinguished Teacher Award 2007. This annual award is our recognition to IITK faculty members who have excelled in teaching, the term 'teaching' is considered in its broadest sense for the purpose of this Award.

It is desirable that a nomination clearly states the distinguishing aspects of the nominee. Nominations are to be sent in a sealed envelope marked "Distinguihed Teacher Award 2007" to: Dean of Faculty Affairs, IIT Kanpur. Nominations can also be sent electronically to dofa@iitk.ac.in

The nominee should have spent at least five years at IIT Kanpur as a faculty member.

A committee consisting of:
Director as the Chairman of the committee, an Alumni Association nominee who is an IITK alumnus from outside campus, Convener, Faculty Forum, President of Students Gymkhana, a nominee of Students Senate (a PG student if the President is a UG student, and vice versa), will consider the nominations and communicate its recommendations to the Board of Governors of IIT Kanpur, for consideration in its August meeting.

The Award will be presented on September 5, 2007, at the "Teachers Day" celebration.
