Research Engineer /Computer Engineer(Grade I) : in the scale of pay of Rs.10000-15200 on contract for 3 to 5 years Minimum qualification and experience : M. Tech. +3 years experience or B.Tech.+5 years exeperience or MCA + 7 years Experience.

Senior Research Engineer/Senior Computer Engineer : in the scale of pay of Rs.12000-18300 Minimum qualification and experience : Ph.D. +3 years experience (for candidates with science background) or M. Tech.+8 years experience (for candidates with engineering background).

Principal Research Engineer/Principal Computer Engineer : in the scale of pay of Rs.16400-20000 Minimum qualification and experience : M.Tech +13 years relevant experience or Ph.D. +8 years experience.

Operations Manager : in the scale of pay of Rs.16400-450-20900-500-22400 Minimum qualification and experience : Ph.D + 10 years experience.

Needed specializations:

For Research Engineer (Grade I) in Aerospace Engineering Department with experience in Aerospace instrumentation, sensors and devices and PC based instrumentation systems. Desirable Experience : (i) Knowledge of modern electronic equipment for control, data acquisition and sensors for aerospace applications. (ii)Experience in electronic circuit design.

For Research Engineer (Grade I)/Senior Research Engineer in Electrical Engineering Department : with specialization in E-learning/ Networking/ Sensors & devices/ Power Electronics/ Controls/ Multimedia/ Digital Signal Processing.

For Computer Engineer (Grade I/II)/Senior Computer Engineer/Principal Computer Engineer/ Operations Manager in Computer Centre: Degree in Computer Science and Engineering preferred. Expertise in Unix, networking, windows, RDBMS. Experience of system analysis/development/ administration or in database administration and in software analysis and design is desirable for higher positions.

For Senior Research Engineer in National Wind Tunnel Facility: Specialization in Instrumentation and Controls Desirable experience: Operation and Maintenance of Wind Tunnel Motor Drive & Controls, modern electronic equipment for Motion control, data acquistion and sensors.

For Principal Research Engineer in National Wind Tunnel Facility : Specialization in experimental Fluid Mechanics /Wind Engineering Desirable experience: Design of models, experiments, and testing of Civil Structures in large wind tunnel

For Principal Research Engineer in Electrical Engineering Department : with specialization of Knowledge of running a semiconductor device fabrication lab/solid state devices, micro electronics Desirable: Sillicon devices, Organic devices.

For Principal Research Engineer in Mechanical Engineering Department : The target areas of specialization are CAD, rapid prototyping, rapid tooling, image processing and analysis. A Ph.D. in a related Area would be desirable.
