Am I Addicted?

“When you can stop, you don't want to. When you want to stop, you can't.”

At some point of time or the other, many of us have enjoyed spending hours networking on the web, watching movies back to back whole night, gaming day in and day out or maybe smoking and drinking with the wing every single day. Call it curiosity, or a desire to experience pleasure, but it is in the human tendency to indulge in things that have some negative connotation attached to them.

For most of us it's a lifestyle choice and one we can change more or less at will, and it is something we will grow in and out of. But when does something we want to do and choose to do, tip over into something we “have” to do? At what point does a normal habitual pleasure become something abnormal or more damaging?

To elaborate on the same, the Counselling Service organized a session in which our Counsellor Mrs. Sharmistha Chakroborty discussed certain tell tale signs of people predisposed to addiction and the possible ways of dealing with it.
